54th Kerala State Film Awards: Prithviraj Sukumaran Best Actor; Urvashi And Beena Chandran Best Actresses

Prithviraj Sukumaran, who stole both the box office and critical response earlier with his groundbreaking performance in Blessy’s Aadujeevitham (The Goat Life), has been announced as the best actor (male) in the 54th Kerala State Film Awards. Actresses Urvashi and Beena R Chandran won the award in the category best actor (female) for Ullozhuku and Thadavu, respectively.

The best film award goes to Kaathal: The Core while Blessy won the best director award for Aadujeevitham.

Kerala’s Culture Minister Saji Cherian made the announcement today in Thiruvananthapuram.

A total of 160 films were nominated for the state awards this year.
