Actors Jamie Foxx and Cameron Diaz return after decades to set the screen on fire with their high-energy espionage comedy, Back In Action. And Netflix, the streaming giant, unveiled an engaging trailer today.
Directed by Seth Gordon (Horrible Bosses) and co-written with Brendan O’Brien (Neighbors), the film reunites Diaz with Jamie Foxx in a thrilling tale of ex-CIA spies whose quiet family life is upended when their cover is blown.

So, what’s this action entertainer all about? Years after giving up life as CIA spies to start a family, Emily and Matt find themselves dragged back into the world of espionage when their cover is blown. With a bunch of supporting cast members, including Glenn Close, Kyle Chandler, and Andrew Scott, Back in Action promises an exciting adventure infused with sharp humor.
With Back In Action, Foxx and Diaz have collaborated onscreen together after their 1999 hit film, Any Given Sunday. Diaz’s return to acting was first announced in June 2022, and she and Foxx were later seen filming the action comedy as soon as December of that year. Production on the movie continued through January 2024.

The film’s production made headlines in April 2023 when Foxx had a medical emergency that interrupted filming for a period of time. Foxx returned to set in January after being hospitalized and assuring supporters that he was on his way to recovery in May 2023.
