'Identity' Teaser Out: Will Tovino And Trisha Find Their Elusive Culprit? (Image-X/ttovino)
After a long wait, the teaser of the Tovino Thomas and Trisha-starrer Malayalam thriller, Identity, was finally unveiled yesterday. Scheduled to hit the theatres in January 2025, the sneak peek of the investigative thriller promises a twisted ride. So, let’s talk about the twisted world created by Akhil Paul and Anas Khan’s Identity.
Apart from what the teaser intended to reveal, there is something that excited the audience. It’s the stunning visuals and Christopher Nolan’s Tenet-inspired reverse shot, which adds a mysterious layer to the teaser.

The teaser begins with an interrogation scene, where Tovino’s character asks Trisha’s character whether she can identify the culprit.
Introducing the character of the 96 actress as the one with photographic memory, the words of the character echo throughout the teaser: “Pentagonal shape. On a square-shaped face, he had a chin that extended down like a fifth corner.” The frequently played description about the culprit hints at its relevance and takes the viewer to geometrically measure the faces of each character.
