Influencer Orry Summoned In ₹252-Crore Drugs Case

Influencer Orhan Awatramani, widely known as Orry, has been reportedly summoned for questioning by the Mumbai Police Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) on Thursday at 10 am. His name emerged during ongoing investigations into a massive ₹252-crore drugs case that traces back to a mephedrone factory uncovered in 2024.

The case began unfolding in March 2024, when the Mumbai Police busted a mephedrone-manufacturing unit on a farm in Sangli, Maharashtra. Officers seized more than 126 kg of MD, a synthetic stimulant, valued at around ₹252 crore.

Investigators say the facility was allegedly controlled by wanted drug trafficker Salim Dola and his son Taher, with chemical supplies routed through an associate in Surat.

As the probe expanded, police discovered a wider network where drugs were transported in high-end luxury cars like Mercedes and BMWs to avoid detection. Profits were allegedly moved through hawala channels, pointing to an organised operation that had been active for years.

The network began to unravel after a 2022 arrest in Nagpada, eventually leading to multiple detentions and the Sangli factory raid.

Orry’s name surfaced after the recent deportation and arrest of Mohammad Salim Mohammad Suhail Shaikh, an alleged trafficker linked to Dola. In his statements, Shaikh claimed that he had organised extravagant parties in Dubai and Mumbai, reportedly attended by several celebrities and public figures.

These included Nora Fatehi, Shraddha Kapoor, producer duo Abbas-Mustan, influencer Orry, rapper Loka, and politician Zeeshan Siddique.

The ANC is now verifying Shaikh’s statements as part of the ongoing investigation. No official charges have been made against the celebrities named so far.
