The maestro of comedy is back! Yes, the acclaimed comedian actor Jagathy Sreekumar is making a remarkable return to the big screens in the upcoming Malayalam film Vala. And this time, the actor will be in a new avatar as Uncle Lunar.

Mollywood witnessed an irreplaceable void during the absence of the actor since 2012. As the result of a vehicle accident in March 2012, Jagathy was hospitalized for over a year and has still not completely recovered from the injuries sustained.

Ending the decade long wait of the fans, Jagathy gave them a glimpse of hope with a cameo in CBI 5: The Brain in 2022. But now, its time for the actor to be back with a swag. The makers of Vala seems to be promising a striking comeback of the actor as Professor Ambili, also known as Uncle Lunar, in the upcoming Arun Chandu’s directorial.

The first look of the actor was unveiled on the occasion of his 73rd birthday. Just like adding another layer to the fans’ excitement the poster which features the actor in an entirely different avatar gone viral on social media.

The poster features Jagathy in a wheelchair, which gives a scientist vibe. His character is described as a mastermind scientist who appears to control the world in the palm of his hand, and the unique styling has captured everyone’s attention.

Director Arun Chandu, known for his innovative approach and unique style seems to be introducing an extraordinary cinematic venture that introduces a world filled with zombies, marking a significant milestone for Malayalam cinema.

The film boasts an ensemble cast, including Gokul Suresh, Aju Varghese, and familiar faces from Gaganachari, such as Anarkali Marakkar, K.B. Ganesh Kumar, John Kaippallil, and Arjun Nandakumar. Notably, Vala will mark the first time Gokul Suresh and Madhav Suresh, the sons of actor Suresh Gopi, will share the screen together. Madhav Suresh and Bhagath Manuel also play key roles in the film.
