Chandu Champion, biological sports drama featuring Kartik Aaryan in a titular role will hit the big screens today. The film is inspired by the real-life story of the paralympic gold medalist, Murlikant Petkar.

The film directed by Kabir Khan is a full package of love, loss, failure and victory. Moreover, the movie is expected to give the audience a life-and-death experience. The protagonist, Murlikant Petkar, has gone through numerous hurdles to achieve what no one could imagine he would.
To ensure that this powerful and inspirational film reaches as many people as possible, the makers even announced a special ticket price of Rs 150 for Friday. This initiative was taken with an aim of making the film accessible to a larger audience so that Murlikant’s incredible tale of resilience and determination reaches many. The athlete was honored with the Padma Shri award in 2018 which is a tribute to his lasting impact on Indian sports history and the ever-lasting legacy he had left behind.

Chandu Champion, the Hindi-language sports drama is both directed and written by Kabir Khan and was produced under the banner of Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment. The film features Kartik Aaryan as Murlikant Petkar, Bhuvan Arora, Yashpal Sharma, Rajpal Yadav and Aniruddh Dave in pivotal roles.
