Mohanlal”s upcoming movie, Neru directed by Jeethu Joseph is ready to hit theatres on December 21. The movie, with the tag line, “seeking justice” is going to be a legal thriller from the Drishyam director. “Neru” marks fifth collaboration between actor and director.
Sharing the poster of the movie on Instagram, actor captioned: “The legal battle commences on 21-12-2023. Get ready for the world of “Neru,” where justice takes centre stage!”

The poster garnered amazing response within an hour of its release.
The movie”s script is written by Mr Joseph along with actor-advocate Santhi Mayadevi. Santhi has acted in Drishyam 2 and Neru marks her debut as a scriptwriter. The movie is produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas. Neru features a stellar cast including Priyamani, Anaswara Rajan, Jagadish and Ganesh Kumar. The cinematography is handled by Satheesh Kurup, and music is scored by Vishnu Shyam.
In August, a motion poster of the film was released and that was also received well on social media.

Mohanlal recently appeared in a cameo role for Rajinikanth”s Jailer and has won accolades. He is currently working on Prithviraj Sukumaran”s “L2E – Empuraan,” the much-awaited sequel of Lucifer. Besides, his upcoming projects are Malaikottai Valiban, Vrushabha, and Rambaan. Mr Joseph”s latest release was Asif Ali starrer Kooman.
Notably, Neru is going to clash with Shah Rukh Khan”s Dunki and Prabhas’ Salaar during its release on Christmas.
