Lady Superstar Nayanthara”s upcoming film, tentatively titled as Nayanthara 75 revealed its title along with the movie”s teaser. The comedy-drama now titled as Annapoorani, alluding to the name of goddess of food in Hindu culture, is directed by Nilesh Krishna.
Releasing the teaser, Zee Studio South, one of the producers of the film, wrote on X: “Presenting Lady Superstar in and as Annapoorani – The Goddess of Food is on her way to tickle your taste buds!”

In the teaser, a glimpse of Nayanthara”s character is revealed. The scene set in a Brahminical household, Nayanthara is seen reading a Managment textbook. Closer look into the book, camera reveals that she is actually engrossed in a cookbook, recipes detailing meat dishes. The teaser hints that movie might be centered around her character”s love towards food and passion for cooking. The movie also features Sathyaraj, Jai and Redin Kinsley in significant roles.
Annapoorani is produced by Pa Ranjith’s production house, Naad Sstudios, in association with with Zee Studios and Trident Arts. The film”s music is scored by Thamman and cinematography is handled by Sathyan Sooryan.
In the movie, Jai and Nayanthara will share screen space together after a decade. The on-screen chemistry of the duo in Atlee”s Raja Rani was much celebrated.
Meanwhile, Nayanthara”s last release was Sharukh Khan starrer blockbuster Jawan, marking her debut in Bollywood. Her upcoming projects include raivan, Mannangatti Since 1960, and Thani Oruvan 2.
