
Shefali Jariwala Dies Of Cardiac Arrest At 42
Indian actress and model Shefali Jariwala died of cardiac arrest in Mumbai on June 27. Shefali, who rose to fame after the release of her music video Kaanta Laga, was a familiar face in India’s reality television.
Reports said that Shefali was declared dead on arrival after she was brought to Bellevue Multispeciality Hospital in Mumbai’s Andheri. She was accompanied to the hospital by husband Parag Tyagi and others. Bellevue has confirmed her death, and Pinkvilla is reporting that the body has been sent to Cooper Hospital for post-mortem.
After the news broke, Tehseen Poonawalla, political commentator and Shefali’s co-participant in Big Boss 13 said: “Absolutely stunned to hear my friend Shefali Jariwala is no more . I last met her at a party. Life is so short. She was in #BiggBoss13 with me. Incredible how #SiddhartShukla and now she from my season are no more. Sending love and healing to her loved ones”.
Singer Mika Singh has also responded to the news: “I’m deeply shocked, saddened and feeling a heavy heart… Our beloved star and my dearest friend Shefali Jariwala has left us. Still can’t believe it. You will always be remembered for your grace, smile, and spirit. Om Shanti.”
Filmfare carried a video showing Shefali’s husband Parag Tyagi exiting the hospital premises looked heartbroken and devastated.
