After the first season of the acclaimed Netflix survival thriller, Squid Game, put audiences to the edge of their seats with each episode raising the heart beats, the game host is back in town with a new set of players and new games. Slated to release on December 26, the streaming platform will launch a special teaser tomorrow, September 20.

Moreover, Netflix has something interesting and funny to offer to the squid game fans – the major fan theories for season 2. Exciting the fans by bringing back the cast, the streaming platform has offered a fan theory analysis session, which seems to hide a huge revelation. The major fan theories have driven the crew crazy, yet the team remains tight-lipped over what seems to be waiting in the next season.
The theories suggest Wi Ha Joon (the cop in search of his brother) ends up as a host, Lee Byung Hun’s character (the front man who oversees the games) will appear as one of the masked individuals and pass over his role of Seung Gi Hun. But he dismisses it quickly and says, “It is imaginative but far from the truth.”

Lee Jung Jae’s new pink hair might be a clue that he will become one of the pink soldiers in the upcoming season and interestingly, the new cast members, Park Gyu Young and Jo Yu Ri, will play the adult daughter of Gi Hun. As fan theories provide convincing story plots, the fans have to wait until December to learn the surprising plot twists.
The season aims to bring back the thriller with an ensemble cast including Lee Jung-jae, Lee Byung-hun, Wi Ha-jun, and Gong Yoo.
