Streaming giant Netflix has quite a number of updates to delight audience today it seems. Adding on to the surprises, Netflix has announced the official entry of Peaky Blinders into production with Cillian Murphy reprising his iconic role as Tommy Shelby.
The reunion of Cillian Murphy and Steven Knight is here, the movie adaptation of the acclaimed series Peaky Blinders kick started production today.

Announcing the new season, Netflix shared pictures of Murphy and wrote, “By order of the Peaky Blinders… Tommy Shelby is back. Cillian Murphy and Steven Knight are reunited on set as production officially starts on the upcoming Netflix film.”

Murphy’s portrayal of Tommy Shelby in the BBC drama captured great attention among audiences across its six season run. Created by Steven Knight against the backdrop of post-World War I Birmingham, the series follows the rise of the Shelby crime family, led by the enigmatic and ruthless Tommy. The show’s gritty narrative, intense performances, and distinct style cemented its place in modern television history.
As per reports, Barry Keoghan also joined the cast. Just like Ferguson, details over Keoghan’s role is being kept under wraps.
Alongside Murphy, Peaky Blinders featured a star-studded cast, including Tom Hardy, Anabelle Wallis, Paul Anderson, and Anya Taylor-Joy in key roles. The series concluded in 2022, leaving fans eagerly awaiting the film adaptation to see how the story of the Shelbys will continue.
