Netflix has turned on the game mode with the announcement of the second season of the acclaimed series Squid Game. Soon after preparing the arena for the twisted games with a intriguing teaser, the makers dropped the teaser of Seong Gi Hun, the infamous salesman played by actor Lee Jung Jae, hinting at a hidden mystery.
The season 2 of the acclaimed deadly series seems to explain the core behind the deadly game. After introducing the players of the second season, the makers have now began to introduce the main key figures responsible for the start of this deadliest game.

The second season will offer the backstories of the prominent figures of the franchise and now it has began with Seong Gi Hun. The chilling teaser opens with Seong Gi Hun, the salesman, enjoying a stunning view as the start of his day. Ready to trap the next person into the deadly game with the cards, money, the packed suitcase, the mysterious salesman brings out the red and blue cards used for the Ddakji game, from where the story will begin all over again with greed and human desperation opening the floodgates.
The scene shifts to the very subway station where the original game kicked off in the first season. Approaching an unsuspecting target, the salesman hands over the Ddakji and asks, “Sir, would you like to play a game with me?” The teaser wraps up with the haunting Squid Game theme music and the phrase, “Get back in the game” flashing on the screen.
The streaming platform invited the players and the audience to get back to the game again with a simple, “You’re invited” message.

The teaser piqued the interest of the audience to know more about the salesman character and sparked questions on mind about the reason behind what drives him to prey on the vulnerable. It also promises to reveal the basic construction behind the entire killing spree of the game.
Creator Hwang Dong-hyuk stated that the new season will show a transformed Gi-hun seeking revenge with a much more serious attitude. The original series became a cultural sensation, garnering around 1.65 billion views in just 28 days.
Produced by Firstman Studio and executive produced by Kim Ji-yeon, Squid Game’s second season is scheduled to premiere on December 26, promising another gripping chapter of the life threatening game.
