The same game with the new players, what makes this season interesting? The comeback of the protagonist Lee Jung Jae, who won the last season, to this game. But this time with a purpose, turning on the revenge mode. The teaser offers a face to face interaction between the protagonist and the masked man at gun point. With Lee Jung Jae’s mission to unveil the true faces behind the elaborate game, season two is all about uncovering the truth.

Sharing the teaser, the makers wrote “Game over. Play again? 👀 🦑Squid Game Season 2 arrives December 26.”

Creator Hwang Dong-hyuk stated that the new season will show a transformed Gi-hun seeking revenge with a much more serious attitude. The original series became a cultural sensation, garnering around 1.65 billion views in just 28 days. Produced by Firstman Studio and executive produced by Kim Ji-yeon, Squid Game’s second season is scheduled to premiere on December 26, promising another gripping chapter of the life threatening game.
