The Indian version of the series The Night Manager, headlined by Anil Kapoor, Aditya Roy Kapur, and Sobhita Dhulipala, was nominated for the 2024 International Emmy Awards under the best drama series category.
The Night Manager series was the only Indian entry across the 14 categories, for which nominations were announced. The International Academy of Television Arts and Science, New York announced the nominations yesterday.

Directed by Sundeep Modi and Priyanka Ghose, the series is an adaptation of both John Le Carré’s novel and the British show of the same name, starring Tom Hiddleston, Hugh Laurie, Olivia Coleman among others.
Reacting to the series’ achievement, Anil Kapoor, played the antagonist on the screen, expressed his excitement and said that he was ecstatic over the nomination. He added that it’s a worthy reminder that hard work always pays off.
The Night Manager will compete with the French show Les Gouttes de Dieu (Drops of God), The Newsreader (Season 2) from Australia, and Iosi, El Espia Arrepentido (Season 2) from Argentina in the category.

The acclaimed series premiered on Disney+ Hotstar on February 16 last year. The second season was released on June 29. The series garnered positive reviews and was nominated for Filmfare awards under six categories.
The International Emmy Awards 2024 is also special for the country as this year, it will be hosted by Indian comedian Vir Das. Notably, he is the first Indian to host the Emmy’s. The comedian also won an award last year for his Netflix special Landing. The event is scheduled to be held in New York on November 25.
