Suhana Khan, Abhay Verma Begin Shooting Without SRK For 'King' (Image-Instagram/suhanakhan2)
Amidst rumors of delays, Sidharth Anand’s upcoming film King, headlined by Shah Rukh Khan, his daughter Suhana Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, and Abhay Verma, has reportedly gone on floors without the king himself.
Suhana Khan, who will share the screen with her father for the first time, will collaborate with the Munjya actor in the upcoming film. Abhay, who stole hearts with his stellar performance in Maddock’s horror thriller, will play a pivotal role in Shah Rukh’s film.
Although the shoot was supposed to have kicked off on May 16, it was slightly delayed due to several reasons. However, the production of the film has now begun with Suhana and Abhay on board.

As per a report, the team has officially begun production in Mumbai’s Mehboob Studio. While the lead star, Shah Rukh, is yet to join the cast, the makers will shoot the key portions of the duo in the early schedule. Initially, Abhay’s schedule was planned to begin filming around June or July; however, last-minute changes reportedly kick-started the shoot early.
Although shooting for the film has just begun, reports previously stated that the makers have already shot some of the scenes of Shah Rukh, which include a body double. The lead star is expected to join the team anytime soon. The makers have also tightened the security measures on the film set to prevent possible online leaks, according to reports.

Slated for a release in 2026, the film features Shah Rukh Khan in the titular role, portraying a powerful assassin entrenched in the criminal underworld. Recent reports claim that Deepika Padukone, Rani Mukerji, Arshad Warsi and Anil Kapoor have also been roped in for pivotal roles.
Moreover, reports also suggest that Rani will play the part of Suhana’s mother and Abhay will take up the role as her boyfriend. Abhishek is also rumored to play the antagonist in the film. The ensemble cast also includes Anil Kapoor, Jaideep Ahlawat, Arshad Warsi and Jackie Shroff.
