War 2 Teaser Out: It's Hrithik Roshan VS. Jr. NTR In This Spy Thriller
Hrithik Roshan is returning to the screens as Kabir Dhaliwal, the courageous major of the War franchise, in the upcoming sequel War 2. And this time, Jr. NTR has joined the Ayan Mukerji directorial as an antagonist to enhance the flavours of mysteries in the spy thriller. The film will also mark Jr. NTR’s Hindi cinema debut.
Produced by Yash Raj Films, War 2 unites Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR and Kiara Advani. As the lead antagonist, the RRR star will lock horns with Hrithik in the upcoming sequel. Moreover, the anticipated sequel will hit theatres on August 14, 2025.

Amidst the buzz, the makers have dropped the teaser today, May 20, commemorating the pan-Indian star Jr. NTR’s birthday. While dropping the teaser, Hrithik wrote, “The calm is over…The storm begins!”

The teaser offers a glimpse of Hrithik Roshan’s swag as Kabir while reminding us of his prowess as a spy agent. It then introduces Jr. NTR and his mission to destroy Kabir, India’s best soldier and RAW’s best agent. The teaser promises a high-octane entertainer with Jr. NTR declaring war on his rival, Kabir. The teaser peaked when Jr. NTR said, “You don’t know me, but you will soon know me,” hinting at the explosive confrontation ahead.
The teaser then showcases high-octane battle sequences between Jr NTR and Hrithik, unfolding across breathtaking international locations. A brief glimpse of Kiara Advani also teases a romantic subplot between her character and Hrithik’s Kabir. The teaser ends with Jr. NTR declaring, “Get ready for war.” The action sequences of the film were filmed across six countries — Italy, Spain, Japan, Abu Dhabi, Russia, and Mumbai.

With War 2, Hrithik gets back to the spy universe with a bigger mission. During his recent US tour, the actor stated that War 2 would have a big dance sequence featuring him and Jr. NTR. This left fans excited, as both actors are fantastic dancers. The first movie also featured a song with both Hrithik and Tiger Shroff showing off their moves.

Hrithik had also promised that War 2 would be “bigger and better” than the first part, stating that he was proud of the film.
Adding to the excitement, reports also claim that the film will see a cameo appearance by Salman Khan (as Tiger) and Shah Rukh Khan (as Pathan) since it is a YRF spy universe.

War 2 is the sixth installment in Yash Raj Films’ Spy Universe, following Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, War, Pathaan, and Tiger 3. The franchise will also expand further with the upcoming Alpha, starring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari.
