Hrithik Roshan’s Contrasting Dhurandhar Reviews Spark Online Buzz
Hrithik Roshan has created a wave of discussion online after sharing two very different reactions to Dhurandhar, the new Ranveer Singh-starrer directed by Aditya Dhar.
Both posts were made within hours of each other, and the contrast has sparked curiosity among fans who are closely following the film’s release, its reviews, and the ongoing conversations around its politics.
Earlier on Thursday, Hrithik shared an Instagram story where he praised Dhurandhar for its strong filmmaking but clearly stated that he disagreed with the film’s politics.

He described the film as “cinema that takes control and shakes you,” and added that even though he didn’t align with its political message, he still loved the movie as a student of cinema.

A few hours later, however, Hrithik posted a new reaction on X, and this time the tone was completely different. The actor skipped the political angle entirely and focused only on the storytelling, performances and technical brilliance of the film.

He wrote that he “still can’t get Dhurandhar out of my mind” and called Aditya Dhar “an incredible maker.” In the post, Hrithik praised Ranveer Singh for his intense performance, calling his shift from “silent to fierce” a powerful journey. He also applauded Akshaye Khanna, saying the film once again proves why he has always been one of his favourites.

Hrithik didn’t stop there. He appreciated R. Madhavan’s “grace, strength and dignity” in the film and surprised many with a special shout-out to Rakesh Bedi, calling his performance “phenomenal” and “brilliant.”
The actor also highlighted the makeup and prosthetics team, acknowledging their contribution to the film’s immersive world. Ending his post with excitement, Hrithik said he “can’t wait for part 2.”
Soon after the second post went live, X users began comparing both reactions and questioning the sudden shift. Many pointed out how the first post openly discussed the political side of the film, while the second avoided it completely.
This contrast has led fans to wonder whether Hrithik toned down his earlier review, whether he wanted to clarify his admiration for the film’s craftsmanship, or whether he simply wished to keep the focus on the performances and direction.
