War 2: Hrithik Roshan & Jr NTR Gear Up For Epic Spy Universe Showdown
The highly anticipated sequel to the 2019 spy thriller War, titled War 2, is set to hit the silver screen on fire. This action-packed blockbuster is the latest addition to the YRF Spy Universe and promises to elevate the stakes in espionage, combat, and high-octane drama.
With two major stars, Bollywood’s Greek God Hrithik Roshan and Tollywood’s powerhouse Jr. NTR, taking center stage, War 2 is gearing up to be one of the biggest films of 2025.

Set to release worldwide on August 14, 2025, War 2 was officially announced on March 16, 2025, by Yash Raj Films via their social media handle.

Despite some earlier concerns regarding a potential delay due to Hrithik Roshan’s injury during rehearsals for a high-energy dance sequence, YRF has reassured fans that the film’s release will remain on schedule.

Directed by Ayan Mukerji, known for his flair in handling high-voltage action sequences, and produced by the prolific Aditya Chopra, War 2 follows the massive success of its predecessor, War (2019), and several other blockbuster films in the YRF Spy Universe.
This cinematic universe includes hits like Ek Tha Tiger (2012), Tiger Zinda Hai (2017), Pathaan (2023), and Tiger 3 (2023), all of which have set the stage for a thrilling cross-over storyline.
Hrithik Roshan reprises his iconic role as Kabir, a skilled spy with a dark past, while Jr.NTR makes his debut in the YRF Spy Universe, adding an extra layer of intensity and grandeur to the proceedings. Alongside these two powerhouses, War 2 also features Kiara Advani and veteran actor Anil Kapoor.
