Actor-comedian Vir Das, who is about to be in the spotlight as the host of the International Emmy Awards 2024 has announced an exciting call for budding fashion designers to make him an Indian couture for the award night, as he wishes to wear something “Indian”.
As the actor-comedian has been preparing his palette for the award night, he offers an exciting opportunity for the young minds to be launched in the realm of fashion designing. The actor, envisioning Indian or Indo-western fusion couture, has made an official call to budding designers and students to create a super formal ensemble for the night.

Announcing this exciting news, the Emmy winner on his X post wrote “Alright Folks, I am going to be the first Indian to host the International Emmy Awards. I’m going to wear something Indian from home. I’m also not going to wear a fancy designer. They have enough cash and clients. So we’re gonna launch someone new.”

He then calling out the aspirants to make an entry, he wrote “So if you’re a budding designer, label, student, and you can put together super formal stuff. Send us an email at contact @zazuproduction.com I would attach details on your stuff and experience please.”
Expressing his expectation for the creative couture, he added, “This is super duper ultra formal wear at a very high level for a very large audience. You have to make me look good in formal wear which is a task I assure you. It HAS TO BE INDIAN OR INDO-WESTERN FUSION. I do not need a tuxedo.”

Moreover, the Landing actor concluded his post by ensuring proper payment and credit to the designers, “We will pay you for your work, pay for the outfit and credit you. You will have to work with my team to get the vision and design right. Cheers, V. “
On September 12, when Vir Das was announced as the host of the show, the actor expressed he excitement and said it was “deeply personal and tremendously honoured” to return to the International Emmy.
