Khushbu Sundar, a well-known Indian actress and prominent leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), has announced her return to active politics after a brief hiatus. The announcement came shortly after she resigned from her position at the National Commission for Women (NCW). In a detailed post on X, Khushbu expressed her unwavering commitment to the BJP and her excitement to once again engage directly with political activities.

After dedicating 14 years of her life to politics, Khushbu described her transition back into active politics as a “heartfelt return” to her true passion. She specifically thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP National President J.P. Nadda, and National General Secretary B.L. Santhosh for their unwavering support throughout her political journey. She noted that their leadership has played a significant role in her decision to return to the political forefront.

In her post, Khushbu highlighted the challenges and restrictions she faced while serving at the NCW. She mentioned that while the experience was fulfilling, it came with certain limitations that kept her from fully engaging with the grassroots-level political work she is passionate about. Now that she has stepped down from the NCW, Khushbu stated that she is “free to serve the BJP wholeheartedly” and looks forward to contributing more actively to the party’s initiatives.

Khushbu expressed a renewed sense of enthusiasm for her political career, noting that her brief break from active politics had only strengthened her resolve. She emphasized her commitment to advancing the visionary schemes of Prime Minister Modi and working towards the development of Tamil Nadu, her home state.

“Being part of the NCW had its restrictions,” she remarked, “but now I’m free to serve wholeheartedly. My break from active politics has only strengthened my resolve to push the PM’s visionary schemes forward.”

Addressing the rumors and speculation that had surrounded her political career, Khushbu took a firm stand, making it clear that her return to active politics is driven by a genuine desire to serve the party and the people. She dismissed the gossip as baseless, stating that those who doubted her commitment could now “rest in peace.” The actor politician had quit the election campaign the southern state midway during the Lok Sabha elections in which the BJP drew blank, though state president K Annamalai spearheaded a high voltage campaign.

“My return is genuine and driven by my unwavering love for the party and the people,” she said, urging her supporters to rally behind her as she embarks on this new chapter in her political career.

Khushbu also shared her immediate plans, including her participation in the upcoming flag-hoisting celebration at Kamalalayam in Chennai. This event marks her official return to the political arena, and she expressed her excitement to reconnect with her political colleagues and the public.

“This is not just a return for me; it’s a new beginning,” she declared, adding that she is more determined than ever to make a difference for the nation and the state of Tamil Nadu.
