External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar will represent the Government of India at the swearing-in ceremony of President-Elect Donald Trump as the 47th President of the United States of America. This comes after the Trump-Vance Inaugural Committee extended an invitation to the Indian government.

“On the invitation of the Trump-Vance Inaugural Committee, External Affairs Minister (EAM) Dr S. Jaishankar will represent the Government of India at the Swearing-In Ceremony of President-Elect Donald J. Trump as the 47th President of the United States of America,” official spokesperson shared the statement on the X platform.


During his visit, the External Affairs Minister will also engage in meetings with representatives of the incoming US administration, as well as other dignitaries attending the ceremony.
