30,000 Employment, 30 Floors: Kochi's Iconic Lulu Twin Tower IT Infra To Open On June 28

Kochi, Kerala: Lulu Group’s ambitious Lulu twin tower IT infra project is all set to open by the end of the month. The inauguration of Kochi’s dream landmark towers will be held on June 28, according to reports by local media. The project involves a whopping investment of Rs 1,500 crore, with world-class facilities accommodating international entities. With this, Lulu dreams of opening South India’s iconic IT hub in Ernakulam, Kerala’s commercial capital.

The twin towers of the Lulu IT infrastructure project stand 153 metres tall, spanning 30 floors, with a total area of 3.4 million square feet. A total of 2.5 million square feet will be available for lease to companies. The towers would host up to 25,000 or 30,000 working professionals simultaneously. The towers include 100% power backup, high-speed lifts, centralised air conditioning, a waste management plant, and rainwater harvesting systems, among others.

Four floors have been dedicated to amenities. The towers will have conference halls accommodating 600 people, a centralised waste treatment plant, and giant auditoriums, among other facilities.

Several global companies have already occupied offices in the city’s hallmark Lulu towers, which include EXL, OPI, Zellis, and Dynamid. With these companies commencing operations, at least 25,00 professionals have already received employment. Discussions regarding an additional six firms are currently going on.

With space for 4,300 cars, two floors of the towers will be given for parking, including robotic parking for 3,000 vehicles. A total of 67 high-speed lifts and 12 escalators are operational across both towers.

Additionally, there are food courts seating over 2,000 people, a gym, retail facilities, and a crèche for children. The building places importance on construction, facilities, and energy efficiency.

According to Lulu IT park director Abhilash Valiyavalappil, companies will have several financial advantages in Kochi compared to IT hubs like Bengaluru. Chennai, and Hyderabad, including employee costs.

The project is expected to provide employment for educated youths from Kerala to work within the state.
