Chentamara, Accused In Nenmara Double Murder Case Arrested.

Palakkad, Kerala: Chenthamara, the accused in the Nenmara double murder case, has been arrested by the police.

Chenthamara, who was absconding after the murder was caught from the Pothundi area in Palakkad, Kerala.

According to local news channels, Chenthamara who was convicted in the 2019 Sajitha murder case was released on bail recently.

Soon after his release, he allegedly committed the double murder, brutally hacking to death Meenakshi Lakshmi (76) and her son Sudhakaran (58) on Monday morning.

The murder was allegedly due to a long-standing family feud and enmity with Sajitha’s family.

Chenthamara had previously killed Sajitha, Sudhakaran’s wife, in 2019.

It is reported that Chenthamara suspected Sajitha of being the cause of his family problems, allegedly influenced by a sorcerer who told him that a woman with long hair was the reason for his family troubles.

A massive search was launched by the police to apprehend Chenthamara and he was finally arrested by a team led by Alathur DySP while trying to stop the search at night.

At the time of his arrest, Chenthamara was in physically bad condition on account of suspicion that he had toxin, as police found a poison bottle in his house and will be immediately transferred from the police station to the hospital.
