Besides a well-known content creator, Kamiya Jani”s name hit headlines in December last year owing to her visit to the Jagannath Temple in Puri. In the video, food blogger is seen conversing with VK Pandian, a bureaucrat-turned-politician and close aide of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik. A political row was erupted as BJP accused Kamiya Jani being “beef consumption promoter” visiting the temple and questioned the Odisha government of facilitating her entry into a strictly Hindu shrine. The Odisha BJP general secretary, Jatin Mohanty, urged for influencer”s arrest under section 295 of the IPC, alleging her of hurting Hindu religious sentiments. As controversy escalated, she issued a clarification through a video message on her Instagram handle. In the video, the influencer told that she is a practising Hindu and has never “eaten or promoted beef”.

Cut to the present, Kamiya Jani is recently honoured with first-ever National Creators Award under best travel creator category and received the award from Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Reflecting the unforgettable award experience, Kamiya Jani is seen extending gratitude to PM Modi for building temples across the nation. She has also lauded the Prime Minister”s encouragement to explore various states in India. “He is literally the influencer of the influencers and he is the trend. I am from the travel and tourism space and I am happy to see that kind of encouragement coming from him to visit various states in India. He also mentioned about visiting the religious spots and not just for temples, but to boost local economies, by supporting them,” Hindustan Times quoted as Kamiya Jani is saying.
Meanwhile, Mohammed Zubair adds in the post that Kamiya Jani”s YouTube platform is showing videos in the new series “India in Motion,” where she is seen praising Indian railways, roads, and aviation, which indirectly lauds the ruling BJP government.
