Cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal Agrees To 'Rs 4.75 Crore Alimony' To Estranged Wife Dhanashree Verma

India’s star spinner Yuzvendra Chahal has reportedly agreed to pay his estranged wife Dhanashree Verma alimony of Rs 4.75 crore, as per an order by the Bombay High Court.

The development happened amid the ongoing divorce case featuring the bowler and dancer partner Verma. The Bombay High Court also directed the family court to take a decision on the couple’s divorce tomorrow, March 20.

Justice Madhav Jamdar allowed the petition by Chahal and Verma seeking waiver of the six-months cooling off period mandated under the Hindu Marriage Act for a divorce decree.

The family court will decide on the divorce presumably within a short period on the joint request by the couple’s advocates. Chahal might be unavailable due to the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) which starts from March 22.

The judge asked the family court to decide within a short period on a joint request by the advocates for Chahal and Verma. The courted noted that Chahal might be unavailable from March 22 due to the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) which is scheduled to start from March 22.
