PV Sindhu and Lakshya Sen will look to put their best foot forward at the Denmark Open Badminton 2024, starting at the Arena Fyn in Odense from Tuesday after their poor outings at the Artic Open.
Sindhu continued her poor run from the Paris 2024, crashing out of the Artic Open after her opening round loss to Canada’s Michelle Li.
It was a significant blow to her inspiring career which is expected to last till Los Angeles 2028 as she suffered a shock defeat under the supervision of new coaches Anoop Sridhar of India and the Republic of Korea’s Lee Soon Il.
The two-time Olympic medallist will face Chinese Taipei’s Pai Yu Po in the first round at the BWF Super 750 tournament.
Sen, who missed out on a historic bronze at Paris 2024, lost in the pre-quarters of the Artic Open to Chinese Taipei’s Chou Tien Chen. The World No.19 will take on People’s Republic of China’s Lu Guang Zu in the opening round in Denmark.
While Sen in the lone entry in the men’s singles category, the women’s single category will consist of Malvika Bansod, Unnati Hooda, and Aakarshi Kashyap.
