Another celebrating moment for India, its time to cherish as Hardik Pandya completed his 11th ODI 50. The partnership between Hardik Pandya and Ishan Kishan has crossed 100 runs. These two players are taking the matches more cautiously, with some acceleration in the comin overs India will be able to reach a good score. Haris Rauf broke 137-run partnership by dismissing Ishan Kishan (82). India scores 204/5 after 38 overs.

Ishan Kishan smashed his fourth back-to-back 50 in the ODI .This is going to be his first 50 against Pakistan and 7th in the overall  ODI. Hardik Pandey maintained his composure and this partnership is going to take the game to other levels.

Pakistan speedster Shaheen Afridi ripped India’s two wickets in the Asian Cup 2023 Group A fixture on Saturday at the Palekelle Stadium in Kandy. India with 93/4 in 18.1 overs will not be a tough score for the Pakistan to beat.

Afridi bowled Indian Captain Rohit Sharma in the fifth over soon after Virat Kohli in the seventh. Afridi set Rohit up with back-to-back short deliveries before castling him with an inswinger that nipped back in to negotiate the bat-and-pad gap and hit the top of off stump. He added on to the damage by sending Kohli back, which left India struggling at 27 for two after 6.3 over. Adding on more pressure to India, Afridi was joined by Haris Rauf who have sent back the new batter Shreyas Iyer in the 10th over on 14. Gills struggle ends at 14.1 over, Rauf takes down India’s fourth wicket.

The weather in Pallekele is adding on more twist as the time passes. The umpire had to stop the game twice, while in the second time just before the covers were brought out, the sky cleared and the match was instructed to be resumed. India reached 51 for three in 11.2 overs before rain stopped play for the second time. India were looking good at 15/0 after 4.2 overs when the players were forced off the field for the first time in the day due to rain.

Indian Captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and elected to bat first against Pakistan.
