Nothing, the British consumer electronics manufacturer is set to launch its first smartphone of affordable sub-brand CMF named “CMF Phone.” It was previously confirmed by the brand that they would unveil CMF by Nothing a sub-brand of the UK-based startup led by OnePlus Co-Founder Carl Pei. The new phone is expected its launch on July 8 2024.
The CMF phone incorporates a unique and sleek design apart from the old-Nothing models unwrapping in an orange colour and other vibrant colours which is similar to its power 65-watt swift charger and Neckbrand Pro of CMF. The astounding kick is that the new CMF phone comes with rather big and visible screws to make service easier and would enable users to make repairs a cakewalk. But it doesn’t include a charging adapter and you will have to purchase it separately. The phone lanyard cable shown in the phone’s promotional Ad is not a part of the package hence the user has to buy it which further prices an additional cost of Rs 3000.

The new CMF phone will feature a 6.67-inch AMOLED display which is supported by a 120Hz refresh rate, a swish flat display with a punch-hole cutout for a selfie shooter along with 2000 nits of peak brightness. The main attraction is that the phone is quite affordable and reportedly expected to be sold at a price between Rs 15,000 to Rs 20000.

Talking about the performance, the processor with MediaTek Dimensity 7300 bestows extra power to the budget smartphone. When it comes to storage the phone carries 8GB RAM along with 8GB expandable RAM. The operating system runs on Android 14 based on the Nothing phones and adds a flair of battery enhancement featuring a 50000mAh capacity.
It is indeed a good option at a budget rate with a Sony 50-megapixel main camera for photography. The CMF by Nothing may introduce colourful back covers in colours like Green, Blue, Black and Orange contributing to the phone’s aesthetics but only through an additional purchase.
