Mix-ups and misplacements are the most common issues that customers face while buying their goods from e-commerce platforms. Customers often receive unexpected items instead of the products they ordered. In a recent incident, a customer claimed that he ordered a Sony TV worth Rs 1 lakh from Flipkart but, however, received a Thomson TV instead of Sony. The customer named Aryan (the name on the X handle) has shared his shocking experience on X (formerly Twitter).
I had purchased a Sony tv from @Flipkart on 7th oct, delivered on 10th oct and sony installation guy came on 11th oct, he unboxed the tv himself and we were shocked to see a Thomson tv Inside Sony box that too with no accessories like stand, remote etc 1/n pic.twitter.com/iICutwj1n0

The customer wrote on his X handle that he purchased a Sony TV from Flipkart on October 7 and received the delivery on October 10. On October 11, a Sony employee came for the TV installation process and opened the box, and both the customer and the employee were shocked to find a Thomson TV inside the package. Aryan also mentioned that no accessories like a remote control or TV stand were included inside the delivery box. He also shared images of the product he received.
Aryan said that he had been eagerly waiting for the Flipkart Big Billion Days sale to order a TV to watch the ongoing ICC World Cup. “I have been waiting for bbd for buying a tv so i can watch world cup in good big screen but this service from fk has pushed me into stress which is really unbearable. Plz help”, Aryan wrote on X. He said that he immediately registered a complaint with Flipkart, but the return request has still not been processed, even after two weeks. “Firstly they have given me resolution date of 24th oct but on 20th they first showed it as resolved and then extend the date to 1st of Nov,” he wrote on X.
