Musk's Grok Gets Its Dedicated App And Introduces Latest Version
Elon Musk has announced that Grok, his AI chatbot, now has its dedicated app. He also confirmed plans to offer Grok as a standalone application for macOS and Windows.
Grok 3, the latest version developed by Musk’s company xAI, is being touted as the “smartest AI on Earth,” surpassing even ChatGPT.
It features three distinct modes—Deep Search, Think, and Big Mind—enabling it to tackle complex problems in mathematics, science, and coding. Trained on an extensive dataset, Grok 3 is currently available exclusively to Premium Plus subscribers on the X platform.
Elon Musk announced that Grok 3, the latest version, is designed to be a strong competitor to other AI models like OpenAI’s ChatGPT and China’s DeepSeek.
Musk said that Grok 3 is very smart and can do many things. He also mentioned that the chatbot runs on xAI’s powerful Colossus supercomputer, which uses over 100,000 Nvidia GPU hours to train AI models. This system was developed in just over eight months.
WHY GROK 3 IMPROVES EVERY DAY
It’s not shackled to a static knowledge base like older AI models.
Its architecture thrives on continuous updates, pulling in fresh data from the web, X posts, and beyond to refine its understanding of the world.

To use Grok 3, you need to have a Premium Plus subscription on X. Musk also announced a new subscription called Super Grok, which will give dedicated fans more advanced capabilities and early access to new features.
Musk also shared that a voice interaction feature is coming soon, which will allow users to have a conversational experience with Grok 3.
He tried it out and said it’s working well but still needs some improvement. “The goal is to make it feel like you’re talking to a real person,” Musk stated.
Google CEO Sundar Pichai congratulated Musk on the progress of Grok 3 and said he’s looking forward to trying it out. Musk also asked users to report any issues with Grok 3 so that they can improve it quickly.
The @xAI Grok 3 release will improve rapidly every day this week.
Please report any issues as a reply to this post.
