X recently revealed that the platform currently hosts over a million job listings. A post by X Hiring on February 26 reads, “Over 1 million job postings are now live on X! Looking for a new gig? Make your next career move using X Hiring.” X CEO Linda Yaccarino has also confirmed this development. “The Everything App gets closer every day with more Video options to Calling to Grok to Job postings! Speaking of jobs — there are now 1 million positions listed,” wrote Linda Yaccarino on her X handle on February 26. Tesla chief Elon Musk has also reposted Linda Yaccarino”s tweet.

According to the social media giant, most of the job listings are from firms that are focused on artificial intelligence (AI), financial services, and software as a service. A post from X Business says that businesses of all sizes can reach a massive audience of engaged job seekers on the platform. A surge in the volume of job postings indicates that firms leverage X as a place to find talent. Elon Musk”s X is attempting to compete with popular job-search portals, including LinkedIn.
In August 2023, X launched the XHiring feature, which allows verified organisations to post job listings on their respective profiles. X is aiming to widen its scope and adopt multiple roles in the technology field.
