Kareena Kapoor Khan On Being 'Jazz Bhamra' In The Buckingham Murders

The exciting mystery thriller of Kareena Kapoor, The Buckingham Murders is set to be unveiled on September 13. Bubbling up the excitement, the makers unveiled the trailer during an event today.

In the trailer launch, the actress was asked about her portrayal of a Punjabi character in her films, referring to her past portrayals of Geet in Jab We Met and Jazz in this mystery thriller. Answering the question, the actress highlights the point that an actor can play the same authenticity or religion and can still be different. She said ,”I should also be able to play detective Jasmeet Bhamra and still be different and that is up to an actor to showcase different parts and that is important.”

Referring to her portrayal of prostitutes in Chameli and Talaash she added “If you put both of them together, it’s completely different and in this as well, it’s a completely different character.” With this, the actress confirmed her fresh new avatar as Jass Bharma.

Connecting herself with the character of the film,Jass Bharma, she said “It is one of my favorite characters to play, which is a detective. It has so much soul in it and I felt that it was the right time to play this character. It is the duty of every actor to keep doing something new and different over and over again.”

About balancing her personal and professional life, she said, “I enjoy the hustle of working at the same time being a mother and a wife. I love it.”
