Amazon Bahrain AWS Region Disrupted After Drone Hits US-Based Firm's Cloud Centre
US-based tech giant Amazon has reported that a drone hit its AWS cloud region in Bahrain. The company said the incident had caused disruption to the firm’s operation.
The company said it is assisting its customers to migrate to alternate AWS regions, and has not provided additional details such as the extent of the damage or the recovery duration.
AWS is Amazon’s cloud computing unit and critical for the operation of many well-known websites and government operations. It is also the company’s main driver of profits.
The attack on cloud facility follows two same incidents – one in the UAE and the another in Bahrain in March 3.
