
Former Swedish PM Carl Bildt Criticises Israeli Move To Cut Electricity Supply In Gaza
Former Swedish Prime Minister Carl Bildt has criticised Israel move to cut electricity in Gaza after stopping the humanitarian aid a week ago. Carl Bildt has condemned the move and calls it a violation fo international agreements and human decency. Bildt has remained the PM of Sweden from 1991 to 1994.
While writing on the social media ‘X’, the co-chair of European Council said, “After stopping all humanitarian aid a week ago, Israel is now also cutting electricity to Gaza. This not only violates all agreements but also runs contrary to basic human decency”.

Israel is facing condemnation over its move of cutting off electricity supply to Gaza. Isreali Energy Minister Eli Cohen has signed an order to cut off electricity to Gaza ‘immediately’. While writing a post online, he said, “Enough with the talk, its time for action”.
Few days back Isreali PM Benjamin Netanyahu announced to halt the delivery of humanitarian aid into Gaza until the Palestinian militant group Hamas agrees to the next phase of the ceasefire plan.
Notably, the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has adopted an Arab League counter-proposal to US President Donald Trump’s plan to take over Gaza and displace the residents. The decision was taken by 57-member grouping at an emergency meeting in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Donald Trump triggered the global outrage when he suggested the US taker over of Gaza and turning it into the ‘Riviera of the Middle East’ after forcing Palestinians to relocate to Egypt or Jordan.
