Heavy Rainfall Expected Across Saudi Arabia This Week: Weather Forecasting Agency
Riyadh, Saudi Arabia: Saudi Arabia’s National Center for Meteorology (NCM) has predicted heavy rainfall across most regions of the Kingdom this week. The kingdom’s weather forecasting agency warned of potentially severe weather conditions in the continued rainfall of varying intensity.
The rainfall could be accompanied by winds reaching up to 60 km/h, hail, high waves along coastal areas and the risk of flash floods, the forecast added.

Mecca, Asir, Al Baha, Medina, Qassim and the Northern Borders will most likely receive rainfall from Sunday. The agency has predicted the heaviest downpours over Tail, areas near Hair Al Bating in the Eastern Province, and regions between Medina and Qassim. Moderate to heavy rainfall is expected to spread across southwestern regions, including Japan, Air and Mecca, before gradually weakening in the evening, it added.
Riyadh and parts of the Eastern Province will also witness downpours.
