Tehran, Iran: Iran has vowed retaliation for a joint US-Israeli airstrike targeting financial institutions and banks in Tehran, killing several employees on Wednesday. The Islamic Republic issued a start warning to employees and residents residing near the financial centers linked to the US and Israel in the region to stay out of one-kilometre radius.

The Iranian military has threatened to target American and Israeli banks across the region, according to a spokesperson for the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, the unified command of Iran’s armed forces.

Iran described the attack on a bank in the state capital as an “illegitimate and unconventional act of war.” The Iranian state media has noted the tragic dimension of targeting civilian and public infrastructures, warning that the non-military target represents a significant expansion of potential target priorities in the region.

The military spokesperson said that the US-Israel attack on bank has granted Iran’s armed forces the right to target economic centers and banks belonging to the United States and Israel throughout the region.
