Iran Protest: Footage Of Detaining, Dragging Women Protesters In Israel, Germany Sparks Hypocrisy Debate
Tehran, Iran: While the US, Israel and several European countries strongly condemn Iran’s crackdown on protesters, users on X have highlighted footage that shows a brutal crackdown by the German security police and Israel on women demonstrators in recent years.
The users, while pointing out the condemnation of Iran’s suppression of demonstrations by Germany and Israel, released footage showing suppression of dissent at home, sparking hypocrisy debates. Footage from 2023 at Al-Aqsa depicts Israeli officers dragging Palestinian women amid crowds near the mosque, a site holy to both Muslims and Jews where clashes often arise during visits.

Palestinian women are humiliated, dragged, and assaulted by Israeli forces for trying to worship at Al Aqsa Mosque, critics pointed out, adding that wester feminism, who loudly claim solidarity with Iranian women, doesn’t have the capacity to raise these issues.
During the May 2025 Nakba Day protests in Germany, videos show police detaining women at unauthorized rallies restricted over antisemitism concerns, with critics highlighting Germany’s recent condemnation of Iran’s crackdown.
