Lulu Group Will Unveil Two More Shopping Malls In Ahmedabad and Chennai: Yusuf Ali

MA Yusuff Ali, Chairman and Managing Director of Lulu Group International on Monday announced that they will be launching two large shopping malls in India, Ahmedabad and Chennai.

“We are going to construct one of the largest shopping malls in Ahmedabad and Chennai and we are opening our shopping mall in Hyderabad end of this month. Also, we are going to different states for shopping malls and food processing”, he said while speaking to ANI.

Lulu Group International is an UAE based multinational conglomerate company headquartered In Abu DhabI.

Hyderabad will be the sixth city with the Lulu group’s shopping mall presence following Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram, Bengluru, Lucknow, and Coimbatore.

Apart from the expansion decision, Yusuff Ali has also shared that over a two dozen memoranda of understanding was signed between India and Saudi Arabia, ranging from information technology, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, petrochemicals and human resources. He also added that the relationship between India and Saudi Arabia will be made even stronger as the bond is ‘historical’.

Many restrictions regarding the bilateral trade were removed by the Prime Minister and the government during the discussion with the Saudi Crown Prince. The signing was done during the Crown prince Mohammed bin Salman’s visit in India after G20 Summit.

“A lot of liberalisations happened and ease of doing business happened…A lot of restrictions are removed by the Prime Minister and the government. We are very thankful to him”, he said to ANI.

The Lulu group currently have more than 250 hypermarkets and supermarkets attracting all the nationals across GCC, Eygpt, India, Indonesia, and Malaysia. Lulu group employs more than 65,000 labours from 42 different nations.

A major player in the economic scenario of the West Asia with an annual turnover of USD 8 billion, its worldwide operations cover business divisions in retail segment for the popular hypermarket brand, shopping mall destinations, food processing plants, wholesale distribution, hospitality properties, and real estate development.
