
Netanyahu Mourns Killing Of 7 Fighters Of Israeli Combat Forces In Gaza
Reportedly, 7 soldiers of the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF), all from the 605th Combat Engineering Battalion of the 188th Brigade, fell in southern Gaza today in the overnight combat with Hamas. The seven soldiers were reportedly killed after an armored vehicle was hit by an explosive device.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu mourned the killing of the IDF soldiers and said, “This is a very difficult day for the people of Israel. Together with all citizens of Israel, my wife and I mourn, and are pained over, the fall of seven of our fighters, of blessed memory, from the Combat Engineering Battalion”.

The killed soldiers include Lieutenant Matan Shai Yashinovski, 21, Platoon Commander; Staff Sergeant Ronel Ben-Moshe, 20; Staff Sergeant Niv Radia, 20; Sergeant Ronen Shapiro, 19; Sergeant Shahar Manoav, 21; Sergeant Maayan Baruch Pearlstein, 20 and Staff Sgt. Alon Davidov, 21, from Kiryat Yam.
So far nearly 440 IDF soldiers have lost their lives against Hamas in Gaza in military operations.
In a separate incident in the Khan Younis area, two soldiers of the 605th Battalion were wounded, one seriously and one lightly, by an RPG fired at a D9 armored bulldozer they were operating.
