The Yemeni Naval Forces has released a video announcing their attack on a Greek Ship, SOUNION in the Red Sea. The footage was shared warning the shipping companies from violating the ban imposed by them.

The video showed explosions on the Greek tanker, which was attacked earlier this week. “Our forces targeted the Greek ship SOUNION, whose company violated the ban order by entering one of the occupied Palestinian ports,” the Yemeni Armed Forces said in a statement.

In the last 300 days, the Yemenis have targeted many ships, including warships belonging to the British and the American for backing Israel in its genocidal war in Palestine and supplying weapons that have been used for bloodshed in Gaza.

The Yemenis had stated that they would continue to target any ships linked to Israel until there is a ceasefire in Gaza.

“They advise all ships passing through the Red Sea, Gulf of Aden, and the Indian Ocean not to manipulate data or conceal their identities to avoid falling under suspicion,” the statement added.

Meanwhile, the armed forces has also thanked all the companies who had complied with the ban decision and avoided sailing to the ports of occupied Palestine. They have also assured that these ships can pass safely within the operational scope of the Yemeni Armed Forces.

As per the Tehran Times, the ship carried 150,000 tons of crude oil. The SOUNION is now reportedly anchored near Eritrea amid plans to move to safer destinations for checks and repairs.

No harm has been reported to the crew members on the ship.

A French destroyer rescued 29 mariners from the oil tank, the official had said on Thursday, reports AP.

According to experts, the attacks have proven very effective as there is a significant drop in the number of US and UK ships and the ships bound for Israeli ports in the Red Sea.

However, critics have accused other Arab states who have failed to organize a similar level of protests against the Israeli massacres in the occupied Palestinian territories.
