"Brahmins Profiteering On The Expanse Of Indian People.. We Need That To Stop": Trump Advisor Peter Navarro
Peter Navarro, a Trump Business Advisor and a White House senior counselor, has justified the 50% tariff imposition on India and criticized Narendra Modi’s recent visit to China for the SCO meeting.
While appearing for a Fox News channel interview justified the tariffs imposition on India as he considers it benefits only the upper class of the Indian economy. “Brahmins profiteering at the expense of Indian people…uhh, we need that to stop”, said Navarro.

Objecting to the Indian PM Narendra Modi’s two-day visit to Tianjin, China, from Aug 31 to Sept 1, 2025, Navarro said that why being the leader of the largest democracy in the world, Modi is shaking in his boots with Putin and Xi.

The White House advisor has remained critical of buying Russian oil and alleged to fuel Ukrain conflict by funding Moscow’s war in Ukraine and dubbing the conflict as “Modi’s war”.
Earlier in an interview Navarro has alleged that US is loosing its money due to Modi’s war and business, workers and companies are lossing their money to India due to high tariffs of India.
India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi attending the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit to be held in Tianjin, China. This will mark his first visit to China since 2019. The announcement amid the imposition of 50% tariffs by the Trump administration has been a significant move by India to assert its national interest and autonomy in India’s foreign relations.
