Former US President and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is reportedly safe after gunshots were fired in his vicinity, according to his campaign. Trump’s spokesman, Steven Cheung, confirmed the incident on Sunday, stating, “President Trump is safe following gunshots in his vicinity. No further details at this time.”

The former president was playing golf at Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach when the course was locked down following the incident. While no additional information has been provided, Trump’s campaign assured that he was unharmed.

Reports from various sources indicated that Trump was in Palm Beach at the time, where his Mar-a-Lago Club is located. Trump was previously injured during an assassination attempt in Pennsylvania on 13 July, making this another concerning event in recent months.
