Tehran, Iran: A United State government official has said that the second crew member from the downed F-15E jet has been “recovered” in Iran following a heavy firefight.

As per reports, The US conducted heavy search and rescue operation overnight to find out the missing crew member of the downed military plane. However, though the crew member has been located, he is net to get out of Iranian territory and could be still be in danger, Al Jazeera reports.

Intense firefight has happened between the rescue team and the Iranian security forces. The US rescue team still needs to successfully exfiltrate the crew member out of the country and to safety.

American and Iranian forces are reportedly in direct ground combat across two provinces in southwestern Iran for the US pilot. Footage showed a huge explosion in air, with some military equipment crash landing triggering fire in Dehdasht, Iran, where the U.S. is searching for a missing F-15 crew member.
