US Senate Rejects Resolution To End War War On Iran; Senator Scuffles With Marine Veteran Over Iran War Protest
The US Senate rejected on Wednesday a Democratic-backed effort to force President Donald Trump’s administration to halt the war on Iran.
The resolution, introduced by Democratic senators Tim Kaine, Adam Schiff and Chuck Schumer, was rejected in a 47–53 vote. It had sought the administration to end US participation in the war unless Congress approved the use of military force.

Notably, Brian McGinnis, a Marine veteran, who was wearing a military uniform, protested against the US participation in the ‘war for Israel’, shouting, “America does not want to send its sons and daughters to war for Israel.”
Montana Senator Tim Sheehy helped police officers to physically remove the Marine veteran who started yelling 30 minutes into the Capitol hearing of the Senate Armed Services subcommittee.

The video has gone viral on social media, which shows McGinnis struggling with the Capitol Police officers who were trying to remove him from the hearing room as he clung to the doorway. The marine veteran reportedly sustained injuries to his hand when the senator dragged him out.
