US Prioritises Israel's Protection, Abandons Gulf States: Saudi Official Amid Iranian Attacks

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia: Saudi officials have alleged that the United States is prioritising Israel’s protection over Gulf countries, accusing the US of focusing its defense systems on protecting Israel, leaving the kingdoms vulnerable to Iranian missile and drone attacks. The official said the US redirected its resources to protect Israel

Iran has been striking several key areas across Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, and Bahrain among others, damaging infrastructures including Saudi’s largest oil refinery Aramco located in Ras Tanura.

“They left all the gulf states that host American military bases at the mercy of Iranian strikes,” the Saudi official said. After Iran hit the oil facility, the kingdom has shut down the refinery’s operation. Explosions hit several buildings across the GGC countries, with leaders from the region call for de-escalation of the rising conflict with Iran.
