Pro-Iran Protesters In Iraq, Pakistan Attempt To Storm US Embassies

Protests have erupted across the world, especially among the Shiite communities and beyond after the Israeli-US joint attack killed Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Hundreds of Iraqis reportedly attempted to storm Baghdad’s fortified Green Zone, where the US embassy is located.

Protests have also erupted outside the United States Consulate in Pakistan’s Karachi following the reports of the assassination of the Iranian Supreme Leader. Many demonstrators gathered around the consulate, prompting local police to use tear gas and fire warning shots to disperse the crowd, Pakistan-based Dunya News reported.
