Houthi Missiles Target Saudi Airbase Near Khamis Mushait
Riyadh, Saudi Arabia: Yemen’s Houthi forces have launched missiles and drones at King Khalid Airbase near Khamis Mushait in Saudi Arabia. The attack also targeted sites in Abha and Jazan, prompting Saudi Civil Defense to issue urgent alerts for residents to seek indoor shelter.
Saudi civil defence authorities had issued an all-clear on Thursday following an emergency alert declared in the southwestern province of Khamis Mushait for the fourth time in 24 hours, after fresh exchange of fire with Yemen’s militant group.
The Yemeni group said it attacked an airbase in Khamis Mushait and oil infrastructure in nearby cities in one of the biggest attacks on Saudi Arabia since the start of the U.S.-Israeli war on Iran in February.
The Saudi-led coalition condemned the strikes on national assets and vowed a measured response under international law, amid claims of retaliation for prior Saudi airstrikes in Yemen. Houthis attacked several cities across Saudi in retaliation of earlier attack allegedly carried out by Saudi-led coalition.

The retaliatory attack by Houthis had wounded at least 73 people, including civilians in Saudi Arabia earlier this week. Authorities had also reported damages at the airbases in Saudi, escalating the conflict amid fears of rising uncertainty.
