Over 70 Injured In Houthi Attacks Across Saudi Arabian Cities, Hours After Saudi Strike Killed 7 I Yemen

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia: Several civilian and economic sites across Saudi Arabia came under Houthis attack on Tuesday, leaving over 70 people injured. According to Saudi-led coalition, at least 73 people were injured in Iran-backed Houthis attack in several Saudi cities, including Abha, Khamis Mushait, Najran and Jazan.

The Houthis strike came hours after the Yemen-based group accused Saudi Arabia of carrying out an air strike on a prison in Yemen’s al-Jawf province that killed at least seven people.

The coalition force vowed that it  would respond firmly to the attacks. Several energy sector facilities and installations in southern areas of the kingdom were hit, according to Saudi Ministry of Energy. The attack also damaged civilian and economic sites in the provinces of Abha, Khamis Mushait, Jizan and Najran.

Saudi Arabia has called the attack as dangerous escalation and a blatant violation of Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty, warning that they posed a direct threat to the kingdom’s citizens and residents.
