Explosions Heard In Dubai's Jebel Ali Industrial Zone After Houthis Launched Missiles
Dubai, United Arab Emirates: Yemen’s Houthi rebels have reportedly struck the industrial area of Jebel Ali in Dubai, according to a report new Mehr news agency. The attack triggered widespread fires, thick plumes of smoke and multiple explosions across the area.
Videos circulating on social media showed large flames and smoke rising from the industrial zone. The news agency reported that the Emirati officials have acknowledging at least seven blasts in 20 minutes, without disclosing the cause. At least two were arrested for filming the fire, the report added.

However, the Emirati media has not published no official account, though confirmed the explosions. According to the NASA thermal imagery, the fire occurred at a warehouse adjacent to the port, used for fuel storage and transfer. No casualty or damage figures were immediately available.
Simultaneously, explosions were reported in the Yemeni capital Sanaa, with some sources attributing the sounds to an air strike and others to missile launches from Yemeni territory.

As the conflict continues, US, Iran and Oman are closing in on an interim agreement to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, and the trio is set to make the announcement on Wednesday, August 8.
