Aadujeevitham is about the captivity of a Kerala native in a Saudi Arabian desert by a Bedouin kafeel (sponsor) and his ultimate escape. The movie is based on a novel written by a former Indian expatriate in Bahrain and famous writer Benyamin. The novel, that was released in 2008 had sourced the real life experience of Shukur aka Najeeb, a native of Kerala’s Alappuzha.

The movie was released globally on March 28, except in the Gulf countries like Qatar, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Oman. However, the movie hit the screens later in Qatar and Bahrain. The movie is all set to release in Oman on April 25. Aadujeevitham was released in UAE along with its global release in the last week of March.

Prithviraj, who plays the lead character in the movie has gone for big makeover including weight shedding as it was being shot in various locations in Kerala, Algeria and Jordan. The movie is a dream project for the director Blessy as he was running pillar to post to make it possible since last one decade and more.
